Here we have a killer pre owned Fender American Big Apple Stratocaster electric guitar. From the “Hot Rodded American Series” Made in the USA in the first year of production 1997.   The Big Apple Strat came factory with two humbucker pickups with either a Tremolo or a Hardtail.  This guitar has a tremolo system and is in a Black finish with a tortoise pickguard.  Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. It weighs 8lbs .2oz on our digital scale. Factory Seymour Duncan ’59 in the neck and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge.  5- way switch which has factory coil splitting options and classic 1- Volume, and 2- Tone controls.   This guitar comes with a Guitar Research gig bag.

 This guitar has just been set up with 10-46’s and is playing really well.   The neck is straight and the truss rod is working as it should with good travel in both directions.  The frets are in good shape with some wear. (see photos). We did a level on them just to make them a bit better.  The guitars plays cleanly up and down the fingerboard. Tremolo is silky smooth and is currently set up against the body for downward travel only. 

 Cosmetically, the guitar is in good condition. This guitar is NOT a case queen. The guitar has its share of nicks, chips, scuffs, marks, indents, and scratches. The bottom edge has the worst of it. There are chips along the bottom. Previous owner filled in some with with DIY paint.  There is belt buckle on the back as well.  There are scuffs and marks throughout the instrument.  The back of the neck is mostly clean with one very small tiny indent. It does not hang you up while playing.  Please see all photos for detailed condition. 

All in all, the Big Apple Strat was a huge jump from the traditional SSS Strat’s.   The Seymour Duncan pickups provide a thicker and more powerful tone.  Very versatile instrument.  Thanks for looking and happy buying!
