Here we have a pre owned Epiphone LP-2 Les Paul electric guitar with Steinberger KB tremolo.   Made in the late 1980’s most likely in Korea.    The finish is Pearl White.   These guitars are super cool and lightweight.  This one weighs 7lbs 5oz.   Its got a solid Basswood body, Bolt- on Maple neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard.  25.5″ scale length, Slim profile neck shape with a 1.68″ nut width. Small rounded Block inlays, Split diamond headstock inlay.  It has 2- humbucking pickups with 2- Volume and 2- Tone controls.  3- way toggle switch handles the pickup selection.  This guitar comes with a hard shell case.  Case has stickers on the outside.  
This guitar has just been strung with 9-42’s. The neck is straight and the truss rod is working as it should.  The frets are in very good condition with minimal wear.  Plenty of life left in them.  
Cosmetically, this guitar is in good condition.   Most noticeable are the finish cracks the run along the bass side of the pickups.   It starts at the neck pocket.  These were most likely caused by the fatal flaw in the Steinberger KB tremolo system.   This guitar has typical bent posts that are common for these units.   We think the bent posts cause the tremolo to lean forward and put pressure on the finish.  Because of the post lean, the tremolo lock does not stay put.  Please see all photos. 
 Upon doing research on this guitar, we found a few websites dedicated to this tremolo system including one that gives a detailed DIY fix for the bad tremolo plate design, that causes the lean.  With a little wrk, this guitar can be brought to perfect shape.   That being said, this guitar plays, the tremolo functions, and it sounds pretty good.   Thanks for looking and happy buying!
