Description

Here we have a pre owned vintage Univox Coily Semi Hollow Electric Guitar.  Made in Japan in the late 1960s or early 1970’s.  This one is in great shape and comes with its original hard shell case.  Sunburst finish.  It has a bolt on neck, with two pickups, 2- volumes, 2- tone, and a 3- way toggle.  Constructed from laminated Maple for the body, Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard.  “Open book” style headstock.  The guitar has just been setup with 10-46’s and plays silky smooth.  It has super easy action and it plays like butter.  The neck is straight and the truss rod is working. The frets are in great shape with little wear on them.  Cosmetically the guitar is in excellent condition.  The binding has some cracking from dryness and just general age. .There was a section of binding on the back side that was loose, cracked and fell off.  We patched it up and it looks the part.  Not perfect but damn close.  Again, this guitar is 50 plus years old.  The original case is in great shape with all latches and hinges working nicely.   General wear and tear but nothing major.  All in all, a fine example of the Japanese made Univox guitars that people love.  They play great and they have a sound all to their own.  The pickups are pretty impressive.   Add this one to your collection today. Thanks for looking and happy buying!
