Here we have an absolutely beautiful Morris TF-801 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar.  Made in Japan in the early 1980’s.  These Morris guitars are mostly known for the similarity to Martin guitars. This one is clearly a D41 style guitar.  High grade Spruce top, Mahogany neck, and what looks like Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.   The back is a 3- piece with a beautiful piece of flame Maple in the center.  This guitar has just been strung with Martin Lifespan 12’s and is playing really nicely.  The action is medium/low. There is room on the saddle if you choose to bring it down lower.  The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod is working as it should. The frets are in very good condition with pretty minimal signs of wear.   Overall, the guitar is in very good condition with some marks and general wear and tear from playing. There are scuffs, swirl marks and a few scratches.  There is a scratch or gank in the top  below the bridge close to the center seam. (see photo) It looks like a previous owner had applied some filler clear to it.  It isn’t perfect and is DIY, but not bad at all. There is some scratches and small indents on the top as well.  The fingerboard has an indent or play wear on the first fret under the B string (see photo)  Pretty nice shape for being 40 years old.  Beautiful mother of pearl inlays and inlayed bridge pins as well.  This guitar is loud and resonant. It plays very well and sounds beautiful. It is a light weight guitar.  You can tell it is a quality guitar within 3 seconds of picking it up.  A great alternative to a D41.  This one you can play and not worry about it.  The guitar comes with its original hard shell case.  The case is in great shape too with all latches and hinges working nicely.   Thanks for looking and happy buying!
